More and more people ask AI assistants for local recommendations instead of Googling — and unlike a Google ranking, what those assistants say about your practice is not something you can look up in a dashboard. We check — with real queries, on real AI engines — and show you exactly how to become the answer.
Get your audit — $249 See a real sample reportAn AI answer names a handful of practices, and the ones near the top are the ones a reader is most likely to act on. We screened 327 dental practices across 26 US cities — three patient-style questions each, put to ChatGPT and Perplexity — and 71% were not named in the top five of a single answer. Not because they are bad practices: which names come back is driven by reviews, site structure and the third-party sources the engines cite. The full audit shows where you stand across 30 answers, who gets named in your city, and which sources those answers drew on.
Can you guarantee ChatGPT recommends me? No — and be wary of anyone who guarantees it. The $249 audit shows you your real standing and gives you a prioritized list of what to change. Implementing it is either your job or, if you'd rather not, our optional $499 package.
How exactly do you test? Through the official ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity APIs with web search enabled. The consumer apps add their own instructions, your location and your history, so the same question there can return a different list. We use the APIs because the result is reproducible and comparable between practices — and we say so in the report.
Is this SEO? It overlaps, but AI engines weigh different signals — crawler access, structured data, review recency, citation sources. Your SEO agency is probably not checking any of them.
